Facelift, Neck Lift & Eyelid Surgery
My Approach
True facial rejuvenation goes far beyond the jawline and neck. While many procedures focus on tightening the outer face alone, aging affects every region—the eyelids, brows, lips, chin, and midface all change over time. If only one area is addressed, the result can look incomplete or unnatural. My philosophy is to treat the face as a whole. For this patient, I performed bilateral upper and lower eyelid surgery to restore a rested, open appearance around the eyes, a biplane endoscopic forehead lift to elevate the brows in a soft and natural way, a conservative lip lift to enhance upper lip show and rejuvenate the mouth, a chin implant to strengthen lower facial structure, and a deep plane facelift and neck lift to reposition deeper tissues and redefine the jawline and neck. Each component was performed conservatively and precisely. I avoid the “overpulled” look, excessively high brows, hollowed eyes, distorted lips, or tight scars that immediately signal surgery. Instead, the goal is subtle, structural repositioning so the patient simply looks healthier, brighter, and more youthful—never different or artificial. When every element is restored in harmony, the result feels effortless and timeless.

The Healing Process
With combination procedures, swelling and bruising are expected during the first two to three weeks, particularly around the eyes, lips, and neck. Most patients feel comfortable being seen socially after two weeks, with makeup easily covering any residual discoloration. Mild redness along incisions gradually fades over several weeks to months. As swelling resolves and tissues settle, the face softens and looks increasingly natural. Final refinement continues over several months, with scars becoming progressively faint and discreet. By week three, most patients feel comfortable resuming normal activities. Facelift results settle within a few months, while the nose continues to refine for up to a year. During this time, patients are encouraged to follow postoperative guidelines closely, including gentle skincare, adequate hydration, and avoiding strenuous activity or sun exposure. Sleeping with the head elevated and using cold compresses can further reduce swelling and discomfort. Subtle improvements appear week by week, helping the results blend seamlessly with the patient’s natural features. Patience is important, as healing is gradual, but each stage brings greater definition, smoother contours, and a refreshed, balanced appearance that looks both authentic and long lasting.
FAQs
A deep plane facelift lifts and repositions the deeper structural layers of the face rather than simply pulling the skin. This allows for more natural, longer-lasting rejuvenation with less tension on the surface. Because the lift occurs at a deeper level, results tend to look softer and more anatomical rather than tight or “windswept.”
A facelift improves the jawline and neck, but it doesn’t address aging around the eyes, brows, or mouth. Combining procedures allows the entire face to age consistently and harmoniously. Treating all areas together prevents the mismatch that can happen when only one region is corrected.
No. Modern facial rejuvenation focuses on repositioning and restoring rather than tightening. The goal is for others to notice that you look refreshed or well-rested—not that you had surgery. Natural movement and expression are always preserved.
Most patients plan for about two weeks away from work or social events. Swelling and bruising improve significantly during this time. Subtle swelling may persist for several weeks, and final refinement continues over a few months.
Incisions are carefully placed along natural creases and hidden areas around the ears, hairline, and beneath the nose. With proper healing, scars typically fade and become very difficult to see.
Patients with signs of aging in multiple areas—such as droopy eyelids, brow descent, lip thinning, jowls, or neck laxity—often benefit most from a combined approach. Addressing everything at once usually produces the most balanced and long-lasting outcome.
